One Reason For A Happy New Year

Days gone by,
Weeks seemed to die,
Months steadfastly passed,
Each moment was our last.

As new year starts,
and old one ends,
Let me reminisce many happenings
I keep inside my heart,
that are now falling apart.

Two thousand and ten,
brought me joys and tears,
gave me strength and fears,
shaped me without a promise,
only understanding and patience.

I should be thankful then,
For this year's various opportunities.
For giving me irreplaceable glee,
For giving the best of life,
more than what I expected it to be.

This showered me much blessings,
I could never forget,
and I wouldn't ever regret.
These are my loved ones and friends,
whom I can rely on,
whom I can lean on,
on whatever life's situation.

The fresh and bright
new year arrives,
One thing I am sure of,
these people continue
enriching my life.

And when I ponder those who really do,
I immediately think of you,
Thanks for being one
of the many reasons,
I will have a happy new year.
