Camera Did Its Job

One, Two, Three, Click!
The shutter button has
been lightly pressed.
Effulgence of light,
instantly flashed in me,
Capturing the smile,
I painted on my face.

But would it ever tell,
What was true behind
the projection I made?
Would it ever expose,
the unbearable concerns
and perceptible doubts,
I eagerly tried covering up?

Camera just did its job.
No one could ever know,
what's actual or not.
People might have seen
the images it displayed,
Yet they couldn't apprehend
every diminutive detail,
of real emotions it possessed.
